Step 5: Pre-Sale Inspection

Pre-Sale Home Inspection

I highly encourage all of my seller clients to get a pre-sale home inspection. This allows you to get ahead of any issues before the buyer does!

A pre-sale home inspection is done before you list your home for sale. This is a service that many home inspectors perform and the cost starts around $300 and will vary depending on the company you choose, how large your home is, and the age of your home. Having an inspection done allows you to do any repairs before putting your home on the market. Sometimes, buyers will waive their inspection period if they can access the inspection report and feel comfortable with the findings.

If you’d like a pre-sale home inspection, let me know and I can direct you to companies that offer this service.

There are drawbacks to a home inspection, though! Sellers should weigh the pros and cons of a home inspection; however, I think the more information and disclosure you give during the process, the better!
