Step 10Schedule the Home Inspection

Schedule the Home Inspection

Once your contract has been submitted, schedule a home inspection. It can always be canceled if needed.

I encourage you to schedule the inspection to be in the first 2-3 days. Inspectors do get busy, especially in the summer months, so it’s important to get an inspector scheduled as soon as possible. Once the report is written, we will need time to review the report and decide on next steps, all of which will need to be done during your inspection period.

Please plan to attend the inspection, or at the very least, the last ½ hour. Inspections are typically 2-3 hours depending on the size and age of the home. If you are not able to attend, and if my schedule allows, I can attend the inspection on your behalf.

Due to liability, you are responsible for choosing and scheduling your own home inspector. I will email you a list of certified inspectors who service the address to get you started.

Once the inspection is scheduled, let me know so I can confirm the day and time with the seller’s realtor.
